Frequently Asked Questions
To schedule an online appointment through SimplePractice:
- Log in to your client portal.
- Click on “Request Appointment”.
- Choose your provider, service type, and available date/time.
- Confirm your request. You’ll receive an email once the provider approves it.
Note: If your provider hasn’t enabled online booking, contact them directly.
To book on behalf of a family member:
- Log into your client portal under your Primary Client Account (usually the parent/guardian).
- Navigate to the profile of the family member (dependent).
- Click “Request Appointment” and select the appropriate service and time.
- Confirm the booking. The provider may approve it before it becomes official.
Tip: If you don’t see your family member listed, ask your provider to link the account or set you up as a contact.
To generate superbills or statements in SimplePractice:
- Log into your client portal.
- Go to the Billing tab.
- Choose the date range you want the statement for.
- Click “Superbill” or “
Statement” to generate it. - You can download or print the document from there.
If you're a guardian or responsible party:
- Log into your client portal.
- Switch to your family member's profile.
- Go to the Billing section.
- Select the desired date range and click “Statement” or “
Superbill”. - Download or print the document as needed.
Important: You must have access permissions to view billing for the family member. Contact your provider if access isn’t available.
